How Drawer Carts Work​

Drawer carts (also called slide-out or ajax carts) open as an overlay instead of navigating to a cart page. Share Cart supports drawer carts by displaying the button in the footer, which is visible everywhere.

Setup for Drawer Carts​

  1. Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize
  2. Navigate to Theme settings > Footer
  3. Add the Share Cart Button block
  4. Position it where you want
  5. Click Save

The button will be accessible from any page when the drawer cart is open.

Supported 3rd Party Drawer Cart Apps​

Share Cart works with most popular drawer cart apps:

  • Cart Drawer by Shopify (built-in)
  • Slide Cart apps
  • Ajax Cart implementations
  • Custom drawer cart solutions

Important Notes​

  • The Share Cart button appears in the footer when using drawer carts
  • This ensures it's always visible regardless of which page the customer is on
  • The button works the same way as it does on the cart page
